Leonard squirrell

Leonard Squirrell was born in Ipswich in 1893. He was a painter and etcher of landscapes and architectural subjects. He studied at Ipswich School of Fine Art and at the Slade School. He won a British Institution Scholarship in Engraving in 1915

Leonard Squirrell exhibited at the R.A. from 1912, also at the R.W.S., R.I and R.S.A

He received gold medals at the international print makers exhibition in Los Angeles in 1925 and 1930. He is represented in many public collections at home and abroad.
