Pamela Scott Wilkie

Pamela Scott Wilkie studied Fine Art specialising in painting with Professor JA Betts who had originally been a student of WR Sickert. She discovered screen printing while living and working in America. Since then she has continued to paint, make prints and artist’s books and also held teaching and lecturing appointments over many years.

A unique feeling for evocative colour characterises all her work as well as curiosity about the spaces we inhabit as a way of trying to understand the world we live in. Visits abroad and how these increase awareness of the familiar have also become the basis for metaphorical journeys and prints produced in series.

‘The exploration of perceptions and memories of real experience underlies all my work. There is so much which is unknown over the horizon and so much more to discover.”
