Contemporary - Colin Burns
Colin Burns has always had a compulsion to paint and sketch and even as a child his talent was acknowledged. In his later childhood living on the edge of the Norfolk marshes he found inspiration in the landscape and wild life that surrounded him.
Colin Burns’s early adult life was spent as an accountant but he was always painting and sketching the East Anglian landscape. After a highly successful one-man exhibition in the West End of London he finally turned to painting full time.
He has a keen sense of wild life, particularly birds, which feature in his landscapes. He captures atmosphere of a place from the early evening glow of a snow-laden landscape to a dike in summer with Moorhen and Coot scuttling around. Colin gives us a familiar reminder of the natural world.
With several one man exhibitions in London, Colin Burns work is keenly collected through the UK and North America
