Contemporary - Jeremy Barlow
Studied at Northampton School of Art and worked at studios in London and the Midlands.
A keen traveller and observer, he starts his paintings on location which gives him the opportunity to record intimate studies of daily life.
Extensive travel through Europe has given his work a familiarity with many of his subjects. From quiet Venetian courtyards to the dappled sunlight of a tree lined boulevard there is a strong sense of light and shade .His masterly composition gives the viewer the opportunity to explore the painting bringing surprises of detail hidden at first glance.
He was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1994 and is a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Marine Painters as well as numerous London galleries. His work is highly collectable and is represented in corporate, public and private collections.
