Mandell’s Gallery is proud to be a member of the Own Art scheme. Own Art makes buying art easy and affordable by letting you spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months with an interest-free loan.
The loan can be for any amount from £100 up to £2500. It can be used as a full or part payment towards your artwork. No deposit is needed. You can complete your application in the gallery after which the loan decision will made within minutes.
What can I buy with an Own Art Loan?
The artwork you wish to purchase through an Own Art loan must be by a contemporary (living) artist. It must be an original piece of work or a print run of a limited edition of 150 or fewer.
Own Art cannot be used for the purchase of Giclée prints except where the artist has used digital technology specifically in order to conceive and create an image using this media.
Am I eligible?
Own Art is available to all UK residents over the age of 18, subject to status. This means that you must be able to meet the following criteria:
- Over the age of 18
- A permanent UK resident
- Working at least 16 hours a week (either employed or self-employed)
- A retired person in receipt of a pension
If you are not working but are married to, or living with, a partner who has a full time job, then you may still apply. You must first make sure that your partner is happy for their employment details to be included on your application form.
What do I do next?
If you meet the criteria, call in at the gallery and we will be pleased to guide you through the application process. As with all credit applications, you will have to provide your address, contact, employment and income details. You will also have to provide proof of identity and residence. This can be in the form of a driving licence or passport.
The application can be completed and assessed in minutes. Once approved, you will be able to take your artwork home on the same day!
