Henry Bright
Henry Bright 1810 – 1873 was born in Saxmundham Suffolk, he became an apprentice to a chemist and moved to Norwich. He became interested in drawing and studied under J. B. Crome and J.S. Cotman. He became familiar with the Norwich School and made friends with Lound and Middleton.
Henry Bright then moved to London where he exhibited at the Royal Academy and The British Institution. Queen Victoria purchased one of his works from the Royal Academy in 1844. He enjoyed popularity in London among the leading artists of the day, Turner and Ruskin were just two of his distinguished admirers.
