John Kiki is an English figurative painter with deep roots in the Greek Cypriot community. He trained in the sixties at Camberwell Art School and at the Royal Academy Schools where Frank Auerbach mentored him. He relocated to the East Anglian coast where he continues to make his instantly recognisable, large, figurative paintings.
John Kiki and Keith Roberts, author of a new book about the artist, will both be at the gallery on Sat 14 Apr 12pm–4pm for a book signing.
John Kiki was Born in Cyprus, he studied at the Camberwell School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools 1960 – 64. His main influence is Frank Auerbach.
