Artist Sarah Cannell has been developing her range of landscape inspired ceramic vessels over the past 3 years under the working title #1000vesselproject Setting herself the challenge of creating 1000 ceramic vessels, experimenting with form, surface decoration, glaze and colour.

This Spring at Mandells we are excited to show a selection of Sarah’s thrown and slab built works. They have been created using a white earthenware clay, decorated with a unique combination of underglaze pencil, transfer and colour. Sarah has transformed the 3D forms into a canvas for her striking landscape paintings inspired by the willows and footpaths of the Waveney Valley. 

This body of work has been further developed with support from the Arts Council through a ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ grant.
