Recent works by Bob Catchpole and Derek Morris
Catchpole and Morris have known each other since the late sixties of the last century. They have both understood that material is at the core of their sculpture and that different methods of working the chosen material have very significant effects on the sculptural outcome. Wood in its different aspects is clearly presented in these new works, and the recent addition of strong colour in the work of both of them introduces fresh possibilities of expression.
